Staff Biography

Sarah E. Mooney
Director, Strategic Planning and Development

Sarah Mooney joined the company in 1998 as a medical writer and quickly ascended to a principal leadership of INNOVIA Education Institute. As Director of Strategic Planning and Development, Ms. Mooney is responsible for identifying opportunities to develop innovative and appropriate CME programming to meet the educational needs of practicing physicians in a variety of disease states. Ms. Mooney graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland with a degree in journalism and is a member of several associations, including the Alliance for CME (ACME), the North American Association of Medical Education and Communication Companies (NAAMECC), and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA). She received national recognition as a 2005 HBA Rising Star and frequently speaks nationally on issues relating to innovative and responsible CME programming. Ms. Mooney brings 15 years of experience in a wide range of health care issues and areas. She takes great pride in working with the entire INNOVIA organization to ensure the educational direction, quality, and effectiveness of all INNOVIA programs. She is also responsible for fostering positive relationships with educational supporters and key disease state experts.
