Jerome Cohen, MD, is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at Bellevue Hospital in New York, as well as a residency and a fellowship at the Jewish Hospital of St. Louis.
Dr. Cohen is Chair of the MRFIT Hypertension Papers Writing Group, serves on the editorial committee of the MRFIT Research Group, and is a member of the Data Monitoring Safety Board for the AHEAD study. He was a Senior Scientist, Principal Investigator, and Chair of the Design and Analysis Committee for the MRFIT trial, and he was a Co-investigator for the SHEP trial.
Dr. Cohen is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Heart Association's Council on Epidemiology and Council on High Blood Pressure.
