Max C. Reif, MD, is Professor of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati in the Division of Nephrology, and is the Director of the university's Hypertension Section. He is also Associate Director of Clinical Affairs in Nephrology.
Dr. Reif's research interests include the genetics of sodium transport and clinical drug trials. His work has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, the American Journal of Cardiology, and the American Journal of Hypertension.
Board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology, Dr. Reif is also certified as a specialist in clinical hypertension by the American Society of Hypertension. An author and co-author of numerous articles and abstracts, Dr. Reif is also an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals. He has given many lectures and presentations nationally on hypertension, drug therapy, clinical practice, and cost effectiveness.
Dr. Reif received his medical degree from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the New York Infirmary in New York City and received his training in nephrology as a fellow at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
