INNOVIA Directors Chosen to Present at National Conference

INNOVIA Education Institute, a Columbia MedCom Group Company, is pleased to announce that Sarah Mooney, Director, Operations and Business Development, and Eve Wilson, PhD, Director, Continuing Medical Education (CME) Services presented at the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education's 32nd (2007) Annual Conference.

The Alliance for CME is an accredited membership organization that provides professional development opportunities for CME professionals, advocates for CME and the profession and strives to improve health care outcomes. It is considered the premiere organization in the CME field by health care professionals. Ms. Mooney and Dr. Wilson discussed recent trends in physician learning preferences and styles in their conference presentation, "Building Integrated CME: Accommodating Learning Styles and Extending Reach Through Use of Multiple Formats."

Ms Mooney was just presented with the prestigious "Rising Star" award from the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) for her contributions to the healthcare industry. The HBA is recognized as the leading world-wide organization for women in the healthcare arena. Dr. Wilson, a microbiologist, has worked in medical education for over 10 years and presents an annual workshop for the American Medical Writers Association. "I am very proud and not at all surprised that Sarah and Eve are recognized by the Alliance as leaders amongst their peers," said Susan Torroella, CEO of Columbia MedCom Group.
