Accreditation Services

INNOVIA creates certified continuing medical education (CME) activities designed to accommodate diverse learning styles, reinforce education, and extend reach through multiple formats and media.

All of our CME-certified programs are independent, balanced, and evidence based. All programs focus on timely and relevant topics, use innovative and engaging formats, and incorporate tools for measuring outcomes, including physician learning and practice change. From diligent planning to attention to details—from assessment of needs through evaluation—we take pride in every aspect of every activity.

INNOVIA Education Institute abides by guidelines, regulations, and policies set forth by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the Office of the Inspector General of Health and Human Services (OIG HHS), as well as special policies set by individual grantors.

INNOVIA is accredited by the ACCME to provide CME for physicians. INNOVIA was first accredited by the ACCME in 2001 and received a four-year reaccreditation in 2003. ACCME reaccredited INNOVIA in 2007 for another four-year term with exemplary status in three elements spanning all three Essential Areas—Purpose and Mission (Element 1.2), Educational Planning and Evaluation (Element 2.2), and Administration (Element 3.1).

In addition, INNOVIA offers the following services to organizations seeking certification or guidance on certification of CME activities for AMA PRA Category 1™ Credit:

  • Consultation on educational planning and activity design to ensure compliance with accreditation guidelines and standards
  • Activity review and certification (ensuring that content is independent, balanced, and based on sound scientific and clinical evidence), assessment, and assignment of credit hours

INNOVIA will consider working in joint- and co-sponsorship relationships with other organizations for live or enduring CME activities.
